The Public Transport Association of Canberra (PTCBR) has welcomed today’s decision by the National Capital Authority to grant works approval to the next stage of Canberra’s light network, between Alinga Street and Commonwealth Park.
“It took us quite a while to get here, but it’s great to finally see the route and design of Light Rail Stage 2A confirmed and endorsed,” said PTCBR Chair Ryan Hemsley.
“Now let’s build it, and crack on with delivering light rail to Woden, Belconnen, Tuggeranong, Molonglo, Fyshwick and the Airport.
