The Public Transport Association of Canberra is very pleased to invite you to our next public meeting – we are excited to welcome two outstanding Canberrans who have undertaken fantastic projects centred on public transport in our city, Victoria Wells and Nick Goncalves.

OUR SPEAKERS:

Victoria Wells successfully travelled every single bus route in the ACT in one year and wrote about what she discovered and learned along the way at her blog In Transit. Her blog covers history, architecture, art, weather, planning, development – and, perhaps most importantly, the people Victoria encountered on her travels and the funny, thoughtful, and often moving conversations she had and observations she made. Nick Goncalves is a high school student and a big fan of Canberra’s iconic bus shelters. He has achieved the incredible feat of visiting every single one of the orange bus shelters in the ACT and has catalogued them in in an online map. Inspired by Trevor Dickinson’s work photographing, drawing, and documenting Canberra’s bus stops – designed by architect Clem Cummings and dating back to the 1970s – Nick has produced a great resource contributing to our understanding of Canberra’s public transport and architectural history.
