We’ve already tweeted about it, but it’s really worth watching and reading this speech from ACT Greens Transport Spokesperson, Jo Clay.
This 6 minutes from Jo Clay in the Legislative Assembly sums up perfectly where @TCCS_ACT is falling short of what we need to improve PT in our city. We need to work on the basics of procurement and planning. Definitely worth a watch. Highlights below.https://t.co/KCqCyZxjed

There’s been a bit of cheering from the ACT Government about transport recently, with the roll out of the new electric buses, commencement of work on raising London Circuit, and high levels of patronage on Network 2023.
But Jo rightly holds the government and the Transport Canberra and City Services Directorate to account. Our off-peak buses only run hourly. We’re behind where we should be in procuring new depots and new buses. In fact, we’ve got fewer buses than we had in 1990. Light rail is great, but we need to be doing the planning and procuring work to ensure our bus network is as good as it can be.
